To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority Major Projects Annual Report 2025 to 2026, Tables, Asylum Transformation Programme, for what reason the benefits increased from £2.75 billion to £13.15 billion at 25/26-Q4.

As noted in the accompanying narrative to the table, the increase from £2.748 billion to £13.153 billion at 2025/26 Q4 was primarily driven by the expansion of programme scope to include Appeals-related projects, which introduced a significant additional forecast benefit
The revised benefits forecast also reflected updated modelling of reductions in asylum support and accommodation costs arising from faster appeals resolution and increased use of dispersal accommodation in place of hotels. Together, these factors increased ATP's projected lifetime benefits.
