To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the UK armed forces equipment and formations 2026, published on 20 August 2026, what is the status of the three Challenger 2 tanks the fleet has reduced by between 2025 and 2026.

The Army continually assesses its current and planned capabilities to ensure that it is appropriately equipped to face any adversary. Routine changes in equipment and formation numbers are part of this process.
All of the equipment referenced has either commenced or completed the disposal process in accordance with Defence disposal policy.
