The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, with reference to the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority Major Projects Annual Report 2025 to 2026, Tables, PFI Prison Expiry and Transfer Tranche 3, whether he has re-procured the Prison Operator Services Framework.

Answered by Ministry of Justice

The Ministry of Justice is currently in the process of establishing Prison Operator Services Framework 2 (POSF2) following the expiry of the first generation of the Prison Operator Services Framework in July 2025. The procurement process was launched in March 2026 and is still live with formal award not due until early 2027.
