The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, how many civil servants in her Department are working on local government reorganisation.

There are currently more than 70 officials in the Department's dedicated Local Government Reorganisation team. They are supported by officials from across the Department as required. Resourcing is kept under regular review and adjusted as necessary to ensure it remains aligned with programme requirements.
