To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, what plans he has to support research infrastructure that facilitates the advancement of key technologies.

UKRI will receive a record £38.6 billion for research and innovation over the next four years, including £9 billion for the Industrial Strategy and £4.5 billion for innovative UK firms. BIST and UKRI investment in research infrastructure will rise to over £5.5 billion, including £2 billion for essential computing. This includes up to £750 million for a Next National Supercomputing Service in Edinburgh, supporting advances in AI, life sciences, medicine, engineering, climate science and other strategic technologies.
