National Wealth Fund: Government Communication Service

Asked by Charlie DewhirstConservativeTreasuryTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 23872

The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to the Answers of 5 June 2026 to Question 3763 on Government Communications Service: Staff and 19 January 2026 to Question 104195 on Government Communication Service: Staff, how many National Wealth Fund headcount staff are (a) members of the Government Communication Network and (b) are embedded communicators who are not counted as members of the Government Communication Network.

Answered by Treasury

The National Wealth Fund (NWF) is operationally independent and is responsible for making decisions relating to its own staffing structures, resourcing, and workforce classifications. No NWF staff members are members of the Government Communication Network. The NWF does not separately classify or record staff as ‘embedded communicators’.
