The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, what steps he plans to take to ensure that businesses in Newcastle-under-Lyme benefit from the implementation of His Majesty's Government's Industrial Strategy.

Answered by Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade

The Industrial Strategy sets out the national framework for delivering reindustrialisation and regional growth across the UK, including Newcastle-under-Lyme, creating sustained well-paid jobs in high productivity Industrial Strategy sectors and foundational industries.

Businesses are already benefiting from the business environment reforms included within the Industrial Strategy, including an extra £1.2bn each year for skills by 2028-29, a new Business Growth Service to simplify finding advice and support, and a £4bn boost to increase access to finance for entrepreneurs.
