Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government: Unpaid Work
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, whether any internship schemes managed by (a) her Department and (b) each of its Arm’s Length Bodies are restricted to applicants on the basis of (i) ethnicity, (ii) social class and (iii) both.
Answered by Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government
For the Ministry of Housing Community and Local Government (MHCLG), the only internship scheme that restricted eligibility on the basis of social class was the Fast Stream Summer Internship Programme. MHCLG did not manage any internship schemes that restricted eligibility on the basis of ethnicity. Consequently, MHCLG did not manage any internship schemes that restricted eligibility on the basis of both ethnicity and social class.
MHCLG does not hold records on internship schemes managed by Arm’s Length Bodies.
