Asked by Charlie DewhirstConservativeMinistry of Housing, Communities and Local GovernmentTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 24017

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, if she will list each industrial dispute live within her Department, including the nature of the dispute and level of industrial action.

Answered by Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government

The Public and Commercial Services Union has declared a Trade Dispute with the Department which includes planned closures of six offices as part of the department's location strategy, office attendance requirements and recruitment policies. There is a mandate for industrial action in the form of strike and action short of a strike. Discussions with Trade Union representatives are continuing.
