To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether her Department has commissioned the use of accommodation in Cheshire East for the purpose of housing asylum seekers since 5 July 2024.

The Home Office operates a Full Dispersal model which works to ensure that asylum accommodation is more equitably and fairly spread out across the UK. This means that a small number of local authorities are not unduly burdened and that all local authorities, nationally, can support the Home Office in discharging our legal obligation.
The Home Office publishes information on the number of supported asylum seekers accommodated by local authority and accommodation type as part of the Immigration System Statistics. This information can be found Immigration system statistics data tables - GOV.UK
