Pedestrian Crossings: Design
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the answer of 18 May 2026 to Question 470 on Pedestrian Crossings: Design, what assessment she has made of the potential merits of adopting the Welsh Government's amendments to section 14 of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2026.
Answered by Department for Transport
As set out in Better Connected: a strategy for integrated transport that was published on 2 April this year, the Department is updating the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions to permit new, simpler zebra crossings.
The Department for Transport is aware of the changes made by the Welsh Government and will consider all relevant information in taking this work forward.
