To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what long-term plans she has to improve the resilience of the rail network to soil moisture deficit and other climate-related ground movement.

Network Rail is considering the impacts of climate change through its long-term climate adaptation and resilience planning. This includes improving understanding of climate-related ground movement risks, monitoring the performance of vulnerable assets, and identifying targeted interventions and investment priorities to support a safe and reliable railway in a changing climate.
