The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, if she will take steps with Cabinet colleagues to introduce an official animal cruelty register.

Answered by Home Office

This Government has no plans to introduce an official animal cruelty register as all prosecutions for offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 are stored on the Police National Computer. This information may be shared with appropriate organisations under common law.
