The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, with reference to her Department's press release entitled Over £7 million to fuel zero-emission flight across the UK, published on 23 July 2026, what milestones the selected projects will be required to meet before further Government funding is considered.

Funding announced on 23 July 2026 constituted the first round of the Zero Emission Flight Demonstrator Competition. Innovate UK will monitor projects through reporting information and meetings. Subject to satisfactory progress being made government match funding will be provided to projects in arrears.
The Department for Transport is considering the value and best means of providing further funding to future projects, which would be offered through competition.
