The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference his Department's press release entitled UK takes command of multinational force for Ukraine, published on 24 July 2026, what recent assessment his Department has made of the availability of personnel required to meet existing defence commitments in addition to commitments relating to the multinational force for Ukraine.

Answered by Ministry of Defence

Defence's planned commitments in relation to Ukraine and existing defence commitments have been properly resourced, deconflicted, and concurrency risks are continually reviewed. Any additional requirements arising from future commitments will be assessed through established processes and resourced accordingly to ensure Defence maintains the highest standards of operational output.
