The question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to the Government press release entitled Thirteen asylum hotels exited and returned to local communities, published on 12 August 2026, whether the Government expects to make any payments to the owners or operators of the 13 hotels in respect of repairs, refurbishment or reinstatement following their use as asylum accommodation.

Answered by Home Office

The Home Office does not expect to make any additional payments to owners or operators of the exited hotels in regard to repairs or refurbishments.
