Deportation: Albania
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what information the department holds on the number of Albanian nationals returned to Albania who subsequently attempted to enter the UK again in each of the last five years.
Answered by Home Office
Ramping up returns is an important part of the government’s system-wide action to strengthen UK border security and restore order to the asylum and immigration system. Immigration Enforcer are clear that individuals who have no legal basis to remain in the UK should leave and we remain resolute in our commitment to increasing returns, as set out in our statement on the government’s asylum and returns policy.
Border Force does not hold a published statistical dataset on the number or proportion of Albanian nationals who, following return from the UK, subsequently attempt to re-enter the United Kingdom. Information relating to individual arrivals and immigration cases is not maintained in the form requested.
