Speed Limits: Cameras
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment her Department has made of the potential impact of the suspension of speed camera enforcement on (a) the number of speed awareness and other educational courses commissioned and (b) the number of those courses subsequently cancelled.
Answered by Department for Transport
The police continue to enforce speed offences on the network through a range of tactics. The HADECS camera system anomaly relates to a specific subset of enforcement activity affecting a small portion of speed awareness courses. The Department does not anticipate a significant impact on speed awareness and other educational courses as the majority of courses are still taking place.
