Revenue and Customs: Freedom of Information
The question
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, if he will publish the HMRC response to Freedom of Information Act request FOI2026/09619, of 11 June 2026.
Answered by Treasury
The information requested in Freedom of Information request FOI2026/09619, the Valuation Office’s Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) for the 2026 business rates revaluation, has already been disclosed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Disclosure under the Act is a disclosure to the public at large, rather than solely to the individual requester. Although the Valuation Office does not intend to publish the response proactively, a copy of the disclosed information can be provided to anyone who requests it, and a copy will be added to the House of Commons Library.
