The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what discussions has her department held with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government on of each of the options for Local Government Reorganisation in Cambridgeshire.

Local Government Reorganisation policy is owned by Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and Department for Transport officials regularly meet MHCLG officials, as well as counterparts in other Government departments, to discuss Local Government Reorganisation, including the transport implications.

The Secretary of State for Transport has engaged with the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) on Local Government Reorganisation via letter, setting out the Department's position that this process should ensure the continued effective delivery of local transport, traffic and highway functions.
