The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what has been the cost of establishing and funding the Great British Railways Transition Team since its formation.

Answered by Department for Transport

Please find the table below for the Great British Railways Transition Team funding. In the financial years 2023 and 2024, the Great British Railways Transition Team was undertaking all the design activity for Great British Railways until being formally stood down in 2025. Work on design has since been progressed by the Great British Railways Programme, a collaborative initiative bringing together Network Rail, DfT Operator, the Department and wider industry partners.
