Roads: Repairs and Maintenance
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 6 July 2026 to Question 15009 on Roads: Construction, what definition of a cancelled road scheme was used in preparing that Answer; and whether the cancellation of a contract for the delivery of a road scheme was included in the definition.
Answered by Department for Transport
A road scheme is considered cancelled where a final decision has been taken not to proceed. This was the definition used for the Answer to Question 15009 on 6 July 2026. The termination of a delivery contract does not fall within that definition.
