The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, with reference to the Defence funding update (HCWS165), published on 30 June 2026, how much of the additional £15 billion for the Defence Investment Plan between 2026-27 and 2029-30 is currently funded.

Answered by Treasury

The additional £15 billion investment in defence as announced in the Defence Investment Plan will be funded by reprioritising public spending, with £10.3 billion already identified and a further £4.7 billion to be confirmed at Budget 2026 in a fair and balanced way.
