To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many prison cells are unfit for habitation as a result of unfit fire security doors and suitable electrics.

As of 4 September 2026, there are no prison cells deemed unfit for habitation as a result of unfit fire security doors. In relation to electrical infrastructure, 80 places are currently out of use across the prison estate.
